Musunneva

Increased gold content in this area, which is situated 1.5 kilometres south of Laiva, were indicated through boulders, moraine samples, and in the eastern part of Musunneva, a high gold content in outcropping rock. Outokumpu has also drilled some holes for exploration purposes previously and tested the surface rock; these holes indicate gold mineralization of the same type as the main deposit in Laiva. Rock type and mineralogy are of the same type as the Laiva deposit. Quartz veins strike east - west, just like in the Laiva area. The mineralized area covers 15 hectares and is still open in two directions.

In 2009, the exploration drilling in the area has been concentrated down to 50 x 25 meter. A total of 319 holes have been drilled by Nordic Mines.

319 PBH holes have been drilled so far at Musunneva. The gold contents on the map show the gold content in ppb. 7250 ppb, which is the highest analysed content, corresponding to 7.2 grams of gold/ton and 100 ppb corresponding to 0.1 grams of gold/ton.
