Board of directors
Nordic Mines’ board of directors consists of five (5) members assigned with the task of managing the company on behalf of the owners. These members have all been elected at the annual general meeting (AGM).
The Stockholm stock exchange makes certain demands on the composition of the board. These include that a majority of the members elected at the AGM should be independent in relation both to the company and the company management. Furthermore, at least two of these members should be independent in relation to the major shareholders of the company. Nordic Mines’ board of directors fulfils these demands.
The board also fulfils the demands of the code for corporate governance.

The chairman of the board and the board members are presented below.
Lennart Schönning (born 1948) Chairman
Permanent member and chairman of the board of Nordic Mines since May 12, 2009. Lennart Schönning is a civil engineer and an entrepreneur with previous experience from the building and property industries in his capacity as Chief Executive Officer of Åke Larson Byggare's operations in the US, as well as CEO of the property company Näckebro, Stockholm, previously listed on the Stockholm stock exchange. At the moment, Lennart is managing his own property portfolio. He is also takes active part in a number of wind power projects. Lennart is a member of the boards of Catena AB (publ) and Property Dynamics AB. Lennart Schönning is a shareholder of the company.
Kjell Moreborg (born 1946)
Permanent member of the board since May 31, 2005. and chairman of the board May 31, 2005 to May 12, 2009. Kjell Moreborg has many years’ of experience of managing companies and assisting board of directors in the mining business. He has a degree of Bachelor of Science in geology. He founded ScanMining and developed TerraMining in cooperation with others. He also runs the private enterprise Terraconsult. He has previously acted as member of the board and CEO of Scandrill in Gävle and ScanMining AB (publ). At the present, he is also a deputy of the board of Jan Löfqvist Konsult Aktiebolag and Interim Management International AB. Kjell Moreborg is independent in relation to the company and its major shareholders.
Tord Cederlund (born1941 )
Tord Cederlund has been a permanent board member of Nordic Mines since May 10, 2007. He was also a member of the board between 2005 and 2006. Tord Cederlund has a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics with many years’ of experience from the mining business. He has been a board member of Endomines Oy, Endomines AB, Kalvinint Oy, Countermine Technologies and Countermine Plc. He is also Administrateur delégué of Odin Enterprises Ltd SA. Tord Cederlund is, privately and through Odin Enterprises Ltd Sa, one of the company’s major shareholders.
Bengt Löfkvist (born 1936)
Permanent board member of Nordic Mines since April 7, 2006. Bengt Löfqvist has many years’ of experience of managing companies and assisting boards in the mining business.
He is a mining engineer and has held a number of positions of the managements and boards of LKAB, LAMCO, Trelleborg and Boliden. These include CEO of Boliden Mineral AB and a member of the board of Boliden AB. Bengt Löfqvist is independent in relation to the company and the company’s major shareholders. Bengt Löfqvist owns shares in the company.
Thomas Cederborg (born 1948)
Permanent member of the board of Nordic Mines since May 12, 2009. Thomas Cederborg has a degree in law and an extensive experience of leading operations of mining companies. He has been a member of some 20 different boards during his years in the profession. Thomas was previously Chief Executive Officer of Boliden AB, as well as managing director of International Gold Exploration AB and Boart Longyear Ltd. Since 2007, Thomas has been working as project manager at Wilhelmsen Ship Management, Oslo. He is also a board member of ACI Konsult AB, Thomas Cederborg owns shares in the company
Catharina Lagerstam
Permanent member of the board since May 19th, 2011. Catharina Lagerstam has a Ph.D in financial risks and M.Sc:s from the Stockholm School of Economics and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Catharina Lagerstam has been working with financial matters in both the private and public sector for more than 20 years, both in Sweden and internationally. She has also been active in a number of boards of directors since the late 1990’s and is currently on of the boards of seven commercial companies and two non-profit organizations. Catharina Lagerstam has previously been a member of the management team of Clearstream, CFO of Hufvudstaden and Head of Financial Analysis and Investor Relations at Föreningsbanken. She was also responsible for the evaluation process at the Bank Support Authority during the bank crisis in Sweden during the 1990’s. Today, Catharina is mainly active as a board member, but also as an independent consultant. Catharina owns no shares in the company.
